Fees and funding

Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Heath Care courses

There are a range of funding and loan options available to you.

NHS Bursaries

Eligible undergraduate and postgraduate nursing, midwifery and many of the allied health profession students can access from the NHS if they started their course after September 2020. The funding will be provided on top of existing support and you don't have to pay it back.

  • Training grant of 拢5,000 per year (for new and continuing students)
  • A Parental Support Payment of 拢2,000 per student to help with childcare costs
  • Specialist Subject Payment of 拢1,000 per year for student on degree that struggle to recruit
  • Help towards additional Travel and Dual Accommodation Costs to clinical placements over your normal daily travel costs
  • An Exceptional Support Fund of up to 拢3,000 per year for students who find themselves in unforeseen financial hardship.

To be eligible for the NHS Learning Support Fund you must be in receipt of the full tuition fee and maintenance loan from the Student Loan's Company. You will need to register for anto apply for your funding, upload your evidence and managed your personal information.

Supplementary grants

You may be eligible for if you are a single parent, support someone who depends on you financially, or disabled:

  • Adult Dependants' Grant
  • Childcare Grant
  • Parents' Learning Allowance
  • Disabled Student Allowances (needs assessment required)
